Watch this!! You can save yourself - Part II

Hello there my friends, I come back again and show you somethings while you are in danger under this situations... That Sinking Feeling: Getting Out of Quicksand First, let's dispense with the movie myth: Man running through jungle blindly stumbles into pit of quicksand; within seconds he is sucked under by a powerful vacuum, leaving behind only a floating pith helmet as a warning to others. The horror! Say it isn't so. It isn't so. You're Not Going Under Research shows that it's impossible for a person to become completely submerged in the stuff. That's because the human body is less dense than quicksand — a mixture of sand, clay and salt water. The worst that could happen is that you could sink in to just above your waist. Not that waist-deep in quicksand is a particularly good place to be ... If your feet become wedged in the densely packed sand at the bottom, it's very hard to get them out. When people die in quicksand, they don't suffocate. They die...

Man Vs. Wild

Bear Grylls Profile Discovery channel

Episode 71: "Underwater Car"

This is a very interesting topic in mythbuster at discovery channel. This might be helpful while you encounter this situation and want to help yourself. I also saw this at Man vs Wild, another program in discovery channel, which told us to use hammer to break out the windows. And the mythbuster confirm this. lol....Here is the busted myth as follow: If a car falls into the water and becomes submerged, you cannot open the door until the interior is flooded. confirmed The pressure differential between outside and inside when the car is submerged is too great for a man to force the door, and the pressure must first be equalized, which means the interior must be flooded first. But it should be noted that Adam was forced to resort to emergency air in his first test. A second test later showed it to be possible to escape the car simply by opening the door, but only by remaining calm and not attempting to open the door until the interior is well and truly flooded, so as to conserve oxygen whi...

Hi all friends and travellers in this blog I saw these interesting articles on discovery channel and these are very helpfull. I would like to shear to everyone. There are some example scenarios: When It's a Bear, Don't Stare Rule No. 1 when you're hiking in bear country: make noise. Most bear attacks occur when hikers stumble upon and surprise a bear, often a mother and her cubs. Don't think they'll be easy to spot; even huge grizzlies can conceal themselves in the brush or the high grass of meadows. If you see a bear, fight the urge to run. Repeat after me: You can't outrun a bear. Bears can sprint for short distances at speeds up to 56km/h! And don't assume you can escape by climbing a tree. That only works if you have enough time to climb at least 10m high. Black bears are good climbers and grizzlies can climb at least partway up a tree. And if you're near water, e.g., a lake or river, don't get in the water and try to swim away from the bear. T...
